In The Silence Teaching – Jason Upton

My friend and brother Jay challenged me to listen to this teaching by Jason Upton.  If you are not familiar with Jason Upton, he is an incredibly enlightened worshiper and teacher.  I recommend most anything he puts out.

Anyway, I challenge you to listen to this teaching.  It is in 8 parts, just listen to one a day, or all in one sitting.  Take some notes, and go through them when you are done.  I am going to put links in, and not the videos to save space on my blog.

Part 1 of 8

Part 2 of 8

Part 3 of 8

Part 4 of 8

Part 5 of 8

Part 6 of 8

Part 7 of 8

Part 8of 8

Please leave any thoughts in the comments.

great message. many challenging points. He said: The blessing on our life is the destruction of all things that keep us from trusting [God].

follow that to it’s logical conclusion and we have nothing left but Him. We try so hard to trust God in our own power that we cannot even lay down our lives for Him knowing this act is God’s best for us. We know the truth, but fail to apply it. as Jason said, we need to “remember”.
I was reading in Judges 2 this morning:
7 And the people served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the LORD, that he did for Israel….
10 And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the Lord, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.

Read all of chapter 2, it is one of the saddest chapters in the Bible. In one generation Israel turned away from God to follow other gods. God, keep us from following anything but the real You. Even from the “You” we perceive You to be.
