Cheap Mediocre Faith

Was thinking about II Samuel 24:24 where David says, “But the king said to Araunah, “No, but I will buy it from you for a price. I will not offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God that cost me nothing.”  How many times does my faith really cost me anything, whether money, time, effort, or skill?  Is it real faith if it doesn’t?
